Excuse Me
One small bump. A whole void deck watching.
The Brief
A short English-language drama set at an HDB block: a man in a hurry, a boy in his way, and a mother who will not let it go — a neighbourhood moment played out in front of the neighbours.

The block
Midday at an HDB void deck — umbrellas against the sun, neighbours passing, bicycles at rest. Ordinary Singapore, shot so the audience recognises it before anything happens.

In a hurry
He pushes through the heat calling “Excuse me! Excuse me!” — late for something, already apologising to everyone in his way.
- 0:08

The bump
One collision, one “Sorry!” over his shoulder. The comedy is in how small it is.

“Mummy!”
The boy folds his arms and plays it for maximum sympathy: he bumped me, so painful. A child’s performance, and everyone can see it.

The mother
She steps in, finger raised: you’re an adult already — how can you do that to a kid? The scene turns from accident to public trial.
- 0:18

The neighbours
Shoppers with groceries, a man with a bicycle, aunties in tudung — the void deck becomes an audience, the way it always does.

Sorry, sorry, sorry
He can only apologise, again and again. The film ends on his face — guilty of very little, sentenced by everyone.
